Oyo state government to establish international Aso Ofi market to promote cultural heritage

Oyo state government has disclosed that an international market for "aso afi" would be established next month at Oke Ogun region of the state to promote cultural heritage.

The state commissioner for information, culture and tourism, Mr. Toye Arulogun disclosed this in a press briefing at the state secretariat.
Mr. Arulogun stressed that the cultural potential of Oyo state has huge economic values and the state government remained committed to exploring its commercial viability

The commissioner also said that effort were in top gear by the state government to create a feedback channel known as "Ajumose feedback centre" to allow government get regular public reactions that would boost efficient service delivery

While reacting to questions from journalists, Mr. Arulogun said the government would not relent in its effort of creating more physical infrastructure, adding that the access route to Iseyin from Moniya would soon be rehabilitated by the state government.
