Four former-governors, 175 aspirants battle to lead All Progressives Congress

Ahead of the June 23 national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), no fewer than 179 members have indicated interest in contesting various positions of the party. Katsina State governor and chairman, sub-committees of the party, Aminu Bello Masari, made this known yesterday in Abuja during the screening exercise. He assured that his panel would abide by the rules and regulations guiding the convention, saying: “the total number of aspirants nationwide is about 179.”
