United Nation deputy chief urges end to ‘cycle of violence’ in Gaza

The United Nation Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed has said that the “cycle of violence” in Gaza serves no one and it must end. The UN deputy chief called on everyone with a stake in Middle East peace, to exercise utmost restraint to avoid further deaths, especially the lives of children.

She urged both Israeli forces as well as organizers from Hamas, and other leaders demonstrating against Israel’s decade-long blockade of the Gaza Strip to prevent all violent actions.
