Super Eagles coach declares special World Cup training for team captain, Mikel Obi

Nigeria Coach Gernot Rohr has revealed plans to put Super Eagles Captain Mikel Obi on rigorous training ahead of this year’s world Cup in Russia Mikel who is still a doubt for Friday’s against Poland as he sorts out his work permit, is plying his trade in the Chinese Super League, which the German coach declares is not too competitive. Rohr also admitted Nigeria had a goalkeeping problem ahead of the Mundial, saying the goalkeeping problem the team is facing presently is based on the keeper Carl Ikeme’s illness.

However, Francis Uzoho, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa are the three goalkeepers that Rohr will be working with ahead of the World Cup but none of them are exposed to international tournaments with 11 caps won among the trio.
